Cave du Cochon, meaning The Cellar Pig, is a casual wine bar serving sourdough pizzas, cheese, charcuterie and a huge selection of wines from across the globe. Pizza and wine are simply made for each other and after years of obsession, Chef and Sommelier team Josh and Vicky Overington (from award-winning restaurant Le Cochon Aveugle) have transformed Cave to be the holy grail for both.
Our sourdough pizzas are created from our original 7 year-old mother starter which is slowly fermented over 48 hours, topped with mixture of our home-cured meats, ferments such as our spring onion kimchi and amazing produce from our selected suppliers before being baked for an incredible deep-flavoured, chewy and lightly-charred crust. We also serve smaller snacks, farmhouse cheeses from the UK’s best cheesemongers, The Courtyard Dairy, and charcuterie from artisan producers Trealy Farm and Grassfruits.
Our extraordinary wines are selected from smaller grower-producers who use low-intervention methods to show a true expression of flavours, varietals and reflect their ‘terroir’. Choose from our wines by the glass, carafe and bottle or a recommendation from our daily changing ‘Last Chance Wines’ – our special, rarer collection of wines by the glass.
Pop in for just a glass of wine and snack or for a full dinner with friends. Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend booking to avoid disappointment. You can also hire the venue as a private space for larger parties and gatherings too. Dogs are also welcome in our ground floor and outside dining areas.
